Meet the Team Interviews – Cheree Lambrechts

Hi Cheree, thanks for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a bit about yourself, your job title, and how you came to be employed at Shutterway.

I am the Office Manager, I heard about the position through one of my husband’s work colleagues.

Great! How long have you been at the company for?

I started working at Shutterway in January 2013…so going for 4 years now and not regretting it for one minute.

Can you give us a rundown of what a day at the office entails?

I make sure that everything runs smooth at the office. This includes dealing with our clients, doing the quotations and invoices, basic bookkeeping, payroll etc.

Do you have any particular highlights that come to mind? An experience that left you thinking at the end of the day: “Yes, that’s why I do what I do!

It’s difficult to pinpoint one, but every time we get positive feedback from a client gives me that feeling and makes me proud to be part of the Shutterway team.

What’s the toughest job you’ve worked on to date, and why?

When I started working at Shutterway I had to put quite a lot of systems in place, which I enjoyed a lot as I could use some of my creativity and problem solving skills.

Sounds like the team had to be firing on all cylinders to set up those systems! Tell us why you think they ended up being a success?

Coming up with a better solution for us to keep track of the progress of each and every job in the factory was one of my best solutions so far and works quite well.
