At Shutterway, we have solutions for whatever the need may be. While we mainly focus on residential security gates and burglar bars, we also service commercial applications, especially for shops and offices. We have done numerous commercial installations of shop front security gates in and around the Cape Town CBD. This application could be for securing the shop and its content when you leave in the evening or for controlling foot traffic coming into the shop during operating hours. Securing the main entrance of your shop does not have to be a grudge purchase and can actually add character to your building’s facade. With Shutterway’s elegant louvre design, clients will still feel welcome to enter your premises.
Full Shop Front Security Gates
When looking at a gate that will be for high security, we would recommend one that will cover the entrance completely. The gate can either be left open during the day and only locked when leaving in the evening, or the gate can be locked at all times and clients could be buzzed in by using a remote. For the latter, we use a very high security electronic lock. This lock gives you the best security at night and at the same time the convenience of access control during business hours.
Low Shop Front Security Gates
Should you require a gate to only control the foot traffic during operating hours, then a low shop front gate will suffice. This will help to cut down on opportunistic visitors, and let store managers control who is let in. In this scenario, one does not need a high security lock. We will generally fit this gate application with a more affordable striker release lock. This lock will still enable remote operation. The height of the gate can be specified by the client and will be manufactured accordingly. A good height for these gates would be between 1300mm and 1500mm.
